Absenteeism
Absenteeism is the rate of unplanned absence, measured as unscheduled absent days divided by scheduled working days, and an early signal of disengagement or a bad manager.
Planned leave and holidays are excluded; loss-of-pay days and last-minute sick leave are the core. Patterns (Mondays, a particular shift, one team) matter more than the average.
It is computed from the attendance record.
