Approval workflow
An approval workflow is the configured chain of people who must say yes to a request (leave, expense, purchase, salary revision) based on amount, department and role, with delegation and an audit trail.
Rules route each request: a leave to the reporting manager, an expense above ₹10,000 to the manager and then finance, a salary revision to HR head and CEO. Delegation covers absences; escalation handles delay.
Every decision is recorded with who, when and comment.
