An honest comparison

Kuzhu vs Darwinbox

Pick Darwinbox if you are a large organisation with thousands of people, several entities or countries, a talent and engagement agenda, and a project team to run an enterprise rollout. It is built for that scale, and it shows. Pick Kuzhu if you are a company of 10 to 500 people that wants HR, payroll and the operational modules live in weeks rather than months, priced per employee with no minimum, in a dedicated database hosted in India, with someone on the phone when payroll day comes.

About Darwinbox: Darwinbox is an enterprise HCM platform from Hyderabad, built for large organisations and used across India and Asia for core HR, talent management, engagement, payroll and workforce analytics. Questions people ask about Kuzhu and Darwinbox

Is Kuzhu cheaper than Darwinbox?

For a company of a few hundred people or fewer, almost always, because enterprise contracts assume enterprise scale and Kuzhu is priced per employee with no minimum. At several thousand employees across countries, the comparison stops being useful: that is Darwinbox’s home ground, and Kuzhu is not built for it.

Can I migrate from Darwinbox to Kuzhu?

Yes, and the usual case is a group company or a division that has been spun out and no longer needs the enterprise platform. Employees, salary structures and leave balances come across from your export, and a parallel payroll is reconciled to the rupee before you switch. Two to four weeks is typical.

Does Kuzhu have Darwinbox’s talent management and engagement tools?

Partly. Kuzhu has recruitment with a pipeline and offers, and performance with goals, cycles, calibrated ratings and increment letters. It does not have engagement surveys, succession planning or a learning platform. If those are central to your requirement, Darwinbox is the better choice.

We are a small company that wants enterprise-grade security. Do we need Darwinbox?

Not for security alone. Kuzhu encrypts with TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest, has role-based access down to the field, keeps a full audit trail of before, after, who and when, takes daily encrypted backups with tested restores, and offers a 99.9% uptime SLA on Enterprise, with a dedicated database per company. Pick Darwinbox for scale and talent depth, not for the padlock.
