For hospitals & clinics
HRMS software for hospitals and clinics
Kuzhu is HR and payroll software for Indian hospitals, nursing homes and clinics: duty rosters for nurses, technicians and support staff with night and on-call cover, biometric attendance judged against the roster, registration and certificate expiries tracked with warnings before they lapse, and payroll with PF, ESI and night allowances computed inside the run. Salaried doctors and visiting consultants on a fee sit on the same record with different employment types.

What month end looks like in hospitals & clinics
The roster is on the ward notice board
The nursing superintendent writes next week’s duty chart by hand, swaps are agreed in the corridor, and the biometric log at the gate has no idea who was supposed to be on the night shift, so month end is a reconstruction.
Credentials expire quietly
Nursing council registrations, BLS certificates and drug licences sit in a cupboard file. Nobody knows one has lapsed until the accreditation assessor asks for it, and then the whole file is rebuilt over a weekend.
Three kinds of pay in one payroll
Salaried doctors, nurses on shift allowances, housekeeping through a contractor and visiting consultants on a fee are computed on different sheets by the accounts department, and the ESI coverage check happens after the money has gone.

How the modules answer it
Every module reads the same employee record, so nothing below is an integration; it is one system seen from four sides.

Duty rosters with cover built in
Morning, evening and night rotations per ward or department, on-call and stand-in cover, shift swaps between staff with a supervisor’s approval, and the roster on every nurse’s phone before the week begins, not pinned to the board.
Shifts & Rosters module
Expiries warned about before they lapse
Registration certificates, licences and training records stored against each person with expiry dates, and reminders to HR and the employee well before the date, so the credential file the assessor asks for is already current.
Documents module
Leave that respects the ward
Approvers see the team calendar and the roster before saying yes, so leave is not granted to the third nurse on a shift that needs three. Balances are visible to staff, which ends the queue at the HR desk.
Leave Management module
Night allowance, ESI and PF in the run
Night shift allowances flagged by the roster, ESI for staff whose gross is within ₹21,000 with employee and employer shares at 0.75% and 3.25%, PF with the EPS split, and contractor staff on the same muster as everyone else.

Questions hospitals & clinics teams ask on the first call
Can the roster differ by ward or department?
Yes. Each department has its own rotation pattern, shift timings and minimum cover; ICU, OPD and housekeeping do not need to share a roster. Rosters are assigned to teams in one action, published to phones, and attendance judges each punch against the shift that person was actually on.
How are visiting consultants handled?
They are recorded with their own employment type, so they appear on the roster and in the credential register without being put through salary payroll. Salaried doctors, nurses, technicians and administrative staff run through payroll as usual, with the pay components that apply to each grade.
Does it track NABH-style credential records?
Documents with expiry dates are stored against each employee, including council registrations, certificates and licences, with reminders before expiry and a register of who holds what. It does not replace your quality management system, but the staff credentialing evidence an assessor asks for comes out of it as a report.
Our housekeeping and security staff come through a contractor.
They can be on the same muster with an employment type of their own, so headcount, ESI coverage and the attendance the contractor bills against are visible to you, while the contractor’s own payroll stays with the contractor. If you pay them directly, they run through your payroll instead.
