Shift roster
A shift roster is the plan of who works which shift on which day, published ahead of the week, against which attendance is judged.
Rosters handle rotating patterns (A, B, C shifts), week-offs, night shifts with allowances, and swaps between employees. Attendance evaluates each punch against the shift the person was rostered on, not a default.
Publishing to the employee's phone before the week starts is the difference between a plan and a surprise.
