Casual leaveCL
Casual leave is short-notice paid leave for personal matters, usually 7 to 12 days a year, credited annually or monthly and not carried forward.
CL is meant for unforeseen needs of a day or two. Most policies limit it to two or three consecutive days and lapse the balance at year end.
It is rarely encashable.
In Indian payroll
Some states prescribe minimum CL under their shop acts. Policies that let CL be clubbed with EL are the usual source of rule disputes.
