Geo-fencing
Geo-fencing restricts mobile punch-in to a defined radius around a location, so field and site staff can mark attendance only when they are actually there.
The app records the GPS position with the punch and accepts it only within the fence for the employee's assigned site. Some setups also require a selfie.
Fences can be per site, per project or per client location.
In Indian payroll
Sales teams, delivery staff and construction sites use it instead of a device. Battery-saving modes and spoofing apps are the two things the policy has to anticipate.
