What is different about payroll in Telangana
PF, ESI and TDS are the same everywhere in India. These are the parts that follow the state, configured per branch so a company with people in two states runs both correctly.
Professional tax
Telangana levies professional tax in monthly salary bands under the Telangana Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, deducted by the employer and deposited monthly with the commercial taxes department; the company also holds an enrolment for itself. Figures are in the table on this page.
Labour welfare fund
Telangana’s labour welfare fund contribution is annual, a small amount from the employee with the employer adding a larger share, deducted in December and paid to the Telangana Labour Welfare Board by the end of January; it covers employees of factories and establishments under the Act.

Offices, IT companies and hospitals register under the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988 through the labour department’s online portal within thirty days of starting; IT and ITES companies hold exemptions from some of its hours and shift provisions, and pharma plants fall under the Factories Act.

How is professional tax deducted in Telangana?
Telangana levies professional tax in monthly salary bands, with nothing below the first threshold and a higher amount at each band above it; the table on this page shows the figures. The employer registers, deducts monthly and deposits by the tenth of the following month. Kuzhu applies the band per employee and rechecks it on every salary change.
Do you offer on-site implementation in Hyderabad?

Yes. Each branch has its own attendance policy, shift pattern, holiday list and approvers; the plant’s biometric device and the office’s web or mobile punches land on one muster. Payroll runs once for the company with reports by branch, so the plant and the office stop keeping separate registers.
