Payroll
Payslip
A payslip is the monthly statement given to an employee showing earnings, deductions, net pay and the statutory numbers behind them.
A complete payslip shows each earning and deduction for the month, days paid, leave taken, PF and ESI numbers (UAN, IP number), PAN, and year-to-date totals. It is the document employees use for loans, visas and tax filing.
Issuing it on time is a legal requirement under most state Shops and Establishments acts and the Payment of Wages Act.
In Indian payroll
Employees expect payslips in the app the day salary is credited. A payroll that publishes them automatically ends the monthly "please send my payslip" queue at the HR desk.
