Asset management (HR)
HR asset management tracks the laptops, phones, ID cards and tools issued to employees, who has what, and recovers them at exit.
Each asset has a tag, a custodian and a history. Issue and return are recorded against the employee, and exit clearance lists what to collect before F&F is released.
Requests for new or replacement assets go through the approval workflow.

The unreturned laptop is the classic F&F dispute. A custody record tied to the employee makes the deduction, or the return, a matter of fact.
