Hiring & onboarding
Onboarding
Onboarding is the process from offer acceptance to a productive first month: documents, statutory registrations, assets, access and introductions.
A checklist that starts before day one: collect PAN, Aadhaar, UAN, bank details and photos; generate the appointment letter; enrol on the biometric device; issue a laptop; create logins; assign a buddy; schedule the induction.
Each item has an owner and a due date, and the new joiner can see progress.
In Indian payroll
The statutory items (UAN linkage, ESI registration within 10 days, PT enrolment) have deadlines. Onboarding that starts at the offer stage means the first payroll is correct.
