Field Work
software for Indian businesses

Kuzhu field work is attendance for people whose office is the road: each visit is logged from the phone with who was met, a photo and the position; the route is recorded from clock-in to clock-out and never outside it; and the phone reporting all of it is a registered one, checked for fake-GPS apps. Managers get the day as facts and flags, and the company decides what to do with them.

Why it exists

What field work looks like when it works.

Field force management software answers a question a punch cannot: what happened between clock-in and clock-out. For a sales executive, a service engineer or a collections agent, the working day is a string of places and people, and most companies learn about it from a WhatsApp photo and a number written in a diary. Kuzhu field work puts that day on the same record as the person’s attendance — the visits they made, the route they took, and how far the phone that reported it can be trusted.

A visit is logged from the phone in under a minute: who was met, their number, what came of it, a photo taken on the spot and the position at that moment. The route is recorded only while the person is clocked in, held on the phone first and uploaded in batches, so a basement or a highway dead zone delays the record instead of losing it. Managers open a Today board — who is out, visits made, distance covered, gaps in the recording — and ask for a map or a live position only when they want one.

The part most tracking apps skip is honesty about the evidence. Each person marks from one registered phone; a change of phone goes through approval. A fake-GPS app, a rooted phone or a jump no vehicle could make is recorded as a flag beside the day, and your policy decides whether a flag only reports or also blocks the punch. The software collects what the phone saw and shows what does not add up. It does not pretend to judge intent — a person with the facts in front of them does that.

The outcome

“A field day you can read like an office day: where, when, and who was met.”

Feature by feature

What field work does, specifically

Start

01

Visit log from the phone — who was met, contact number, outcome, photo and position

02

Route recorded only between clock-in and clock-out, saved on the phone first so a dead zone loses nothing

03

Today board for managers: who is out, visits made, distance covered and gaps in the recording

Outcome

How it works

From set-up to running, in 5 steps.

Most teams have this live inside the first month — the workspace exists on day one, and week three is a parallel run against whatever you use today.

Step 01Implementation

Switch on the people who work outside

Field work is per person, not per company. Enrol the sales and service staff; the office team sees nothing new and nothing about them is recorded.

Next phase
Step 02Implementation

Register each phone once

The first sign-in ties the person to that phone. A new phone raises an approval, so a shared login on a colleague’s handset is noticed on the day it happens.

Next phase
Step 03Implementation

Clock in, and the day starts recording

The route begins at clock-in and ends at clock-out. A permanent notification on the phone says recording is on, and the server refuses any position from outside the working day.

Next phase
Step 04Implementation

Log each visit where it happens

Who was met, a contact number, the outcome, a photo and the position — saved on the phone immediately and sent when there is signal.

Next phase
Step 05Implementation

Read the day as a manager

The Today board lists who is out with visits, distance and recording coverage. Open a person for their route, their stops and anything the checks flagged.

Worth a closer look

The questions that usually decide the deal.

01Buyer question

Is this tracking my staff all day?

The answer

No, and the limits are built in rather than promised. Nothing is recorded outside a clock-in to clock-out span, and nothing at all for a person who was not enrolled. A live position is sent only while a manager has that person’s live view open, and the employee’s phone says so for as long as it lasts. Seeing where somebody was is its own permission, separate from seeing their attendance, and every such look is written to the audit log. Raw positions are deleted on the schedule you set; the day’s summary — distance, stops, visits — is what stays. Employees can open their own field day and see exactly what the company sees.

02Buyer question

What stops a fake GPS app?

The answer

Three layers, none of them a guess. The phone is a registered device with a key held in its own secure hardware, so a punch cannot be replayed from a second handset. The app reports what the phone says about itself — mock location switched on, root, an emulator — and the server checks the route for things the phone cannot hide: a jump faster than any vehicle, a visit logged far from the recorded path, a batch that is missing or altered. Each signal is set to report or to block. Report is the default, because a false alarm that costs somebody a day’s pay is worse than a review the next morning.

Questions

What buyers ask about field work.

No. Recording starts at clock-in and stops at clock-out, a notification is visible the whole time, and the server rejects positions from outside the working day.

Yes. Visits and route points are saved on the phone first and uploaded when the connection returns, so a dead zone delays the record and does not lose it. Clocking in and out needs a connection.

On request. Opening a person’s live view starts a short stream from their phone, and their notification changes to say a manager is viewing their location. Closing the view ends it.

Field recording runs in the Kuzhu Android app today. The web shows managers the board, the routes and the visits on any browser.

Yes. A company handset held in the asset register can be assigned to a person, and that person can be locked to marking attendance from that phone only.
